Silk Bookmarks, jacquard woven in Dartmouth, Devon.
Papilionaceous Ltd designs and manufactures silk bookmarks to order. Our bookmarks are hand made from silk ribbon in Dartmouth, Devon.
Following in the great English silk tradition of the Stevengraph, our bookmarks use the finest silk threads to produce incredibly detailed images. They are both substantial enough to use as a practical bookmark and yet delicate enough not to distort the pages of your book.
We first began weaving silk bookmarks in 1998 and at that time we were based in Highbury, North London. The first set of silk bookmarks were produced for the book shop at Liberty in Regent St.
You can read more about how we started in the silk-bookmarks-history section
They are double sided (same back and front except where stated) and packed in a protective sleeve. Approximate size: 4 x 18 cm excluding packaging, 8 x 19 cm including packaging
A selection of bookmarks is available in the Papilionaceous shop.
